Obituary for George William (Tut) Ginn George William (Tut) Ginn
Covington Native Was World War II Veteran

Mr. George William (Tut) Ginn, age 96, of Covington, Virginia, died Monday, August 3, 2015, at his residence.

He was the husband of Charlotte Sexton Ginn.

Mr. Ginn was born May 15, 1919 in Covington, the son of the late Charles Porterfield Ginn and Allae Mahood Ginn.

He served his country for five years as a member of the United States Army during World War II.

George was employed as a geologist with the State of California Mineral Department.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife, Charlotte Sexton Ginn, Mr. Ginn is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles Porterfield Ginn and Allae Mahood Ginn, he was preceded in death by a brother, "Happy" Ginn, and two sisters, Virginia Ballengee and Louise Blackburn.

A private graveside service was conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
