Mr. Francis Lee Meeks, age 97, died Saturday, August 15, 2015.

He was the husband of the late Eda Hylton Meeks. A native of Schuyler, VA, Frank worked at the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company before serving as a navigator in the Army Air Corps during WWII.

After the war, he worked at the National Security Agency from its beginning until his retirement in 1975.

He retired a second time, in 1998, from Apple Federal Credit Union.

Mr. Meeks is survived by two daughters, Teresa Meeks and husband, Fred Teal, Jr. and Janet Meeks; a grandson, Thomas Meeks-Teal; and one of his eight siblings, Nancy Meeks Hubbard.

In addition to his wife of sixty-one years, Eda Hylton Meeks, Mr. Meeks was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 29, 2015, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Loving Funeral Home.
