Retired Nursing Assistant Was Iron Gate Baptist Church Member

Carol Christine Bryant Frango, age 86, of Fork Farm, Iron Gate, Virginia, died Monday, August 31, 2015 at The Golden Living Center, Clifton Forge, surrounded by her daughters and family.

She was born May 31, 1929 in Iron Gate to the late Okey C. and Edna Dew Bryant.

She was a retired Nursing Assistant and Unit Secretary at Alleghany Regional Hospital and was a member of Iron Gate Baptist Church.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Ollie Frango, Jr. in 1976, and a niece.

She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Tyree and husband, Tommy of Iron Gate, Barbara Zicafoose and husband, Danny of Fincastle, Beverley Clark and husband, Leonard of Iron Gate, and Bonita McNeill and husband, Steve of Omaha, NE; a sister, Ruby Painter of Cloverdale; a brother, Chlenford Bryant and wife, Margaret of Kingsport, TN; ten grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Rick Painter officiating.

Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
