Former Jane Colby Employee Was Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church Member

Phyllis June Reynolds Ferrell, 82, of 6316 Hot Springs Road, Hot Springs, Virginia, died September 11, 2015 at the Brian Center in Low Moor.

She was born on March 10, 1933 in Richmond, a daughter of the late Roy Franklin and Mary Reynolds Franklin.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Edward Tinker Ferrell in 1985, and two brothers, Roy H. Franklin and John Carl Franklin.

Mrs. Ferrell was a member of Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church as well as a member of the choir.

She was an employee of the Jane Colby.

Surviving are three daughters: Susy Peters and husband, Larry, Lisa Petrosky and husband, Tony, and Debby Snedegar and husband, Larry, all of Hot Springs: eight grandchildren, one brother, Carson Franklin of Staunton, one sister, Barbara Lewellen of Southern Pines N.C., and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday September 17th at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Gary Pillow officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday. The interment will be made private.

The family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Ferrell's name to the Alleghany County Humane Society at P. O. Box 60, Low Moor, VA 24457.
