Ricky Dale Rucker, age 54, of Covington, Virginia, died at his residence.

Mr. Rucker was born May 23, 1961, in Alleghany County, VA, a son of the late Joe Alfred Rucker and Georgia Whitman Gier Rucker.

He was a former employee of Hammond and Mitchell.

Ricky was a person who extended his heart, love and charity to all of God's children and also enjoyed landscaping and spending time outdoors.

Our beloved brother is survived by his sister Vickie Rucker Kerns and husband, Delbert, his brothers, Kenneth Rucker and wife, Evelyn, and David Rucker, all of Covington; several nieces and nephews and several good friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rucker was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Rucker Sr. and Aloys (Buck) Gier.

A private service will be held at a later date.
