Harvey Alexander Dudley, age 78, of 672 Gloucester Road, Saluda, Va. died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at his residence.

He was born May 27, 1937 in Alleghany County to the late Otha Eli and Bessie May Dudley.

He was a retired lineman with C. W. Wright Construction.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Jack, Buck, Norman, Tink, and Billy Dudley; two sisters, Jenny Dudley and Mary Dunbar; and his loyal companion, Joyce Mendenhall.

He is survived by a sister, Joyce Dudley Arrington and her husband, Donnie of Covington; a sister in law, Jean Dudley of Fairlea, W.Va.; and his caregiver, Mary Mendenhall; and two special nieces Vickie and Nancy; also a number of other nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Alleghany Memorial Park in Low Moor with the Reverend Raymond Christian officiating.
