Collierstown Presbyterian Church Member Was Burlington Industries Retiree

Robert Lee Clark, 80, of Lexington, Virginia, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born April 7, 1935 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Roy John Allen Clark and Buelah Coleman Clark.

Mr. Clark was a member of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church, served on the cemetery committee for forty years, and retired from Burlington Industries after thirty seven years of service.

Robert supported his community in many ways, he was always participating and helping with the dinners and functions at the Effinger Fire Department, and the Collierstown Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife of fifty seven years, Elizabeth "Libby" Lee Knick Clark; one son, Anthony "Tony" Clark and wife, Ronda; two daughters, Elaine Clark Higgins and James Martin, Lorie Clark Kingery and husband, Steve; three sisters, Lorraine Spence, Fannie Russ, Junie Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Josh Higgins and wife Pam, John Ross Higgins and Tammy Bryant, Amelia Clark Lewis, Leanna Chittum, Anthony R. Clark, Cole Steven Kingery and Hunter Pruett, Rachel Kingery; one great-grandchild, Lorelei.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Skip Hastings officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home but the family will receive friends at the Clark residence at anytime. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in loving memory of Robert to the Collierstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Collierstown Presbyterian Church, 31 Church Drive, Lexington, VA 24450.
