Mrs. Garnett Hickman Bryan, age 102, of Covington, Virginia, died Friday, October 30, 2015, at the Brian Center-Alleghany, Low Moor, VA.

She was the wife of Arthur Houston Bryan.

Mrs. Bryan was born January 18, 1913 in Clifton Forge, the daughter of the late Edward Allen Hickman and Clara Baker Hickman and her stepmother, Pearl Hickman.

She was a longtime employee of the Steger Pharmacy, where she was known as "The Pie Lady" as well as being employed by the former Bonanza restaurant before her retirement.

Garnett was a member of the Jehovah's Witness.

Mrs. Bryan is survived by three daughters, Carolyn B. Landis and husband, Wayne, Lois B. Brown and Deborah B. Marcussen; two grandsons, Chris Lockhart and fiancee, Gail Gardner and Michael Bryan; and two great grandchildren, Kelly Bryan and Andrew Garritano; one brother, Allen Hickman and special family friend, Deborah L. Cohen.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bryan was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Roadcap, Ruth Hatcher and Doris Lewis; a son, Donald R. Bryan; a son-in-law, Ronald E. Brown; a grandson, Donald Kevin Bryan and a step grandson, Marc Marcussen.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ole Burnside, Chris Lockhart, Robert Brown, Freddie Brown, Eddie Brown, Clyde Selman and Donald Cardwell.

The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
