Obituary for Thomas Lee (Tom) Janney Thomas Lee (Tom) Janney
Former Northwest True Value Store Manager Was Immanuel Baptist Church Member

Thomas Lee (Tom) Janney, age 77, of 655 Buhrman Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at his residence.

Tom was born September 25, 1938 in Mohegan, West Virginia, to the late Walter and Truby Marie Dunnigan Janney.

He was a retired former manager of Northwest True Value Hardware of Clifton Forge and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Clifton Forge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Janney.

He is survived by his wife, Fannie Lou Altizer Janney of Eagle Rock; a daughter, Cheryl Janney Day and husband, Kevin of Eagle Rock; two sisters, Lois Janney Hart and husband, Leroy of Fredericksburg, and Phyllis Janney Wisor and husband, Jack of Vienna; three brothers, Doug Janney, Carl Janney, and Roger Janney, all of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren, Heather Marie Whitmore and husband, Thomas, Shannon Woodson and husband, Robbie, and Thomas Worley and fiancee Alyssa Hefner; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Baptist Church, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Youel Altizer and Pastor John Godfrey officiating.

A private interment followed in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers were Thomas Worley, Robbie Woodson, Kevin Day, Duane Boothe and Ron Thomas.

The family received friends on Friday evening at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, and also on Saturday morning until the time of service at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Arrangements were handled by Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
