Howard Leon Pooley, 76, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Friday, November 27, 2015, at his home.

Born October 1, 1939, in Rockbridge County, he was the son of the late Howard E. Pooley and Mildred Agnor Pooley.

He worked at Modine for 32 years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Pooley; four sons, Bryan Pooley and wife, Sheila P. Pooley, Robert Pooley and significant other, Sandra Maydian, Allen Pooley and wife, Kimberly Smith Pooley, Shannon Pooley and fiancˇe, Nicole McClure; grandchildren, Nathen S. Pooley and wife, Sharon H. Pooley, Tabitha Pooley Fitzgerald and husband, James, Courtney R. Pooley and boyfriend, Tucker Noel, Shana Manspile and husband, Caleb, Cheyenne Pooley and friend, Paula Niday, Katie Pooley, Lucas Pooley, Montana Pooley; great-grandchildren, James Fitzgerald, Gage C. Pooley, Isaac J. Fitzgerald, Chase H. Pooley Christian M. Fitzgerald, Damion John Downs, Trent McClure.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home with the Pastor Jay Thorne officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 1, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
