Lucille W. Carr, 87, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born May 15, 1928, in Buena Vista, she was the daughter of the late, E. D. Burch and Nannie M. Burch.

She was a life member of Buena Vista Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Carr Jr., and special relatives, Billy Weeks, Leslie (Pig) Burch and Bobby Burch.

She is survived by her son, Charles (Chuck) Carr. She is also survived by special relatives, Jeannette Weeks, Joan Burch, Nancy and Harold Kidd, Sylvia and Donald Burch; many other special cousins; numerous special friends including, Freida McManamay and Myrtle Breeden; and special caregivers, Linda McGee and Carolyn Hill.

A graveside service will be conducted, 11 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bryon LePere and the Rev. W. David Bain officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews at P. O. Box 96105, Washington, D. C. 20090-6105 or the Buena Vista Baptist Church.
