Jacob William Coffman, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed Monday, December 14, 2015 at Golden Living Center.

He was the son of the late Jacob W. Coffman.

Jacob was born in Rockbridge County on September 4, 1951.

He is survived by his mother, Lois Coffman, and several other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Episcopal Church in Charlottesville.

Jacob sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for children.

He loved swimming, fishing, working puzzles and music by the Beatles. Jacob loved animals and teaching French and Latin.

At his request, there will be no arrangements. The family suggest donations can be made to the local SPCA or Food Bank.
