Obituary for Ledford James Pinckard Ledford James Pinckard
Selma Resident Was Longtime Dominion Power Electrician

Ledford James Pinckard, of 1114 Staunton Street, Selma, Virginia, departed this earth on Sunday December 27, 2015 at the age of 79, while at The Highland House, Clifton Forge.

He was born on January 14, 1936 in Selma, and lived there his entire life.

He served in the United States Army for two years and the Army Reserves for eight years.

He was a retired electrician for Dominion Virginia Power.

He served many years on the Selma Volunteer Fire Department, and was an E.M.T for Dominion Virginia Power.

He was a member and Crucifer of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, assisted with the Area Food Pantry and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eva Simpson Pinckard.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Campbell Pinckard of Selma; his daughter, Angela P. Hamilton and husband, Robert of Monroe; two grandchildren, Kirsten Hamilton and Robert Hamilton II; and special friends, Albert Bowen and Alan Dale Craft.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is in charge of arrangements.
