Bath County Hospital Nurse Dies At Age 56

Mrs. Judy Marie Beck Neighbors, age 56, of Covington, Virginia, died Monday, January 4, 2016 at her residence.

She was the wife of Michael R. Neighbors.

Mrs. Neighbors was born April 22, 1959 in Traverse City, MI, a daughter of Marie Bristol Beck and the late Leonard William Beck.

A resident of this community since 1991, Judy was employed as a registered nurse at Bath Community Hospital.

She enjoyed quilting, reading, and traveling.

Mrs. Neighbors was a member and former President of Friends of the Library. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

In addition to her mother, Marie Bristol Beck, and her husband, Michael R. Neighbors, Mrs. Neighbors is survived by her son, Adam Neighbors and wife, Lena, of Warrenton; her daughter, Megan Neighbors, and fiance, David, of Covington and Culpeper; three brothers, James Beck and wife, Aurora, of Middletown, DE; William "Bill" Beck and wife, Kellie of Dowagiac, MI; and Shon Beck and wife, Tracy, of Eldersburg, MD; and a sister, Patricia Osborne and companion, Larry, of Nebraska.

In addition to her father, Leonard William Beck, Mrs. Neighbors was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Beck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Tom Collins as celebrant.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home. A Christian Wake will be held at 7:30 p.m.
