Linda Carol Broughman Higgins, age 64, of 4665 Jackson River Road, Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her residence.

She was born September 23, 1951 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late William and Mary Tingler Broughman.

She was a nationally certified respiratory therapist for Alleghany Regional Hospital, and also worked at The Springs Nursing Home and Augusta Health Medical Center.

She was a member of the Clifton Forge Women of the Moose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Michelle Broughman Teichelman, and her father-in-law, Chalmer Higgins.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Higgins of Covington; her mother-in-law, Helen Higgins of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Michael Rogers of Covington and Brittany Rogers of Gloucester; and a great granddaughter, Dannielle Rogers of Gloucester.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
