Obituary for Ray LaRue Clark Ray LaRue Clark
U. S. Army Veteran Worked In Research And Developent At Hercules, Inc.

Ray LaRue Clark, age 81, of 36 Alleghany Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany, Low Moor.

Ray was born July 4, 1934 in Clifton Forge to the late William Lackey and Pearl Vest Clark.

A lifelong resident of Clifton Forge, Ray served in an infantry unit of the United States Army and received a Purple Heart award.

He retired from the Research and Development Department of Hercules, Inc. and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl Clark, Harold Clark, Kenneth Clark, and Clayton Clark; and a sister, Gladys.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Bess Clark of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Pamela C. Hall and husband, Bryan of Millboro; a son, Barry Clark of Clifton Forge; a brother, Jack Clark of Covington, GA; two granddaughters, Alexis Clark and April Clark; a great grandson, Elijah Clark; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is in charge of arrangements.
