Janice Farley Berry Meador, age 77, of 603 Heatherton Drive, Valley Ridge, Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was born January 30, 1938 in Hinton, West Virginia, to the late Ray E. and Jane Cox Farley.

She graduated from Hinton High School in 1956, and was a 1959 graduate of the Chesapeake and Ohio School of Nursing.

She retired as a Registered Nurse from Alleghany Regional Hospital.

She was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Bruce Berry; two brothers, Marcus Farley and Norman Farley, and a sister, Carol Sue Waddell.

She is survived by her husband, George W. "Bill" Meador of Valley Ridge; two sons, S. Bruce Berry of Seattle, WA and S. Brent Berry and wife, Lyda of Roanoke; two sisters, Pauline Meadows of Nimitz, WV; a brother, Ronald Farley and wife, Patty of Bonita Springs, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Mr. George Broughman officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home, or any time at the residence.
