Obituary for Steve Alexander Dudley Steve Alexander Dudley
Pulpwood Truck Driver Was U. S. Air Force Veteran

Steve Alexander Dudley, 76, of 704 S. Highland Ave., Covington, Virginia, died Monday, February 22, 2016, at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

Mr. Dudley was born May 14, 1939, in Botetourt County, a son of the late Charles William and Mary Catherine Dunbar Dudley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Dudley and Bishop Earl Dudley and four sisters, Mary Ann, Edna, Shirley and Hannah.

He served his country with the United States Air Force and was a devoted member of the Church of God.

Mr. Dudley was employed as a pulpwood truck driver.

Surviving are his wife, Lea B. Dudley, of Covington, one daughter, Debbie, of Texas; four sons, Robert E. Dudley of Covington; Steve A. Dudley, Jr. of Indiana; Charles A. Dudley of Ohio and John A. Dudley of Indiana; several grandchildren; one brother, Roy Dudley; one sister, Wanda, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery Friday, February 26, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Horton officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Arritt Funeral Home.
