Mary Belle Ralston Thompson Green, 78, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Golden Living Center.

Born December 20, 1937, in Greenville, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Robert Ralston and Mary Virginia Walters Ralston.

She was a member of Natural Bridge Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by first husband of 36 years, Roy Thompson Sr.; brothers, Bobby Ralston and Bill Ralston; brothers-in-law, Wayne Orange and Fred Dehne.

Surviving are her husband, Ollie Green; son, Roy Preston Thompson Jr. and wife, Robin; daughter, Karen Sue Thompson Blackburn and husband, Gino; four grandchildren, Benji L. Thompson and wife, Brandy, Nick L. Thompson, Christopher A. Blackburn and fiancee, Arica, and Cory A. Blackburn and wife, Elizabeth; one special great granddaughter, Abigail Leigh Blackburn; sister, Carrie Margaret Ralston Dehne; sisters-in-law, Barbara Orange and Betty Ralston; brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Evelyn Gill; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2016 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Javan officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad, the Buena Vista Fire Department or Rockbridge Area Hospice.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
