Retired CSX Conductor Dies At Age 68

Betty Willis McCulley, age 68, of 307 Second Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, April 10, 2016 at her residence.

She was born October 12, 1947 in Clifton Forge to the late Robert T. and Mildred Eilene Flenner Willis.

She was a retired conductor for CSX Transportation.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Willis.

She is survived by two daughters, Shelly Wingfield and husband, Brian Atwater of Christiansburg, and Tracy Carpenter and husband, Scott of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Cathy Swisher and husband, Keith of Lexington and Donna Jean Butler of Clifton Forge; a brother, Russell Willis and wife, Parie of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Renee Carpenter and Lindsey Carpenter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated, A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
