Clifton Forge Resident Was Stop-In Clerk, First Baptist Church Member

Sybil Lynn Hickenbotham, age 54, of 1009 Girard Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was born March 23, 1962 in Clifton Forge to the late James David and Dena Gertrude Waldron Hickenbotham.

She was a store clerk for Stop-In of Covington, and a member of First Baptist Church in Clifton Forge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Thompson and E. Christine King.

She is survived by her beloved son, Andre Scott Hickenbotham of Clifton Forge; her companion, Charlie Ray of Iron Gate; two sisters, Sandra Buckley and husband, Willie of Greensboro, NC, and Dreama Webb and husband, Paul of Roanoke; two brothers, Daive Hickenbotham and wife, Debbie of Roanoke and Donald Hickenbotham and wife Miguelina of South Riding; a sister-in-law, Grace Hickenbotham; two aunts, Reva Waldron and Kay Peay; an uncle, Jay Edward Hickenbotham; a host of special cousins and exceptional nieces and nephews; and many great friends and neighbors.

The family will be conducting a memorial service on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Roslyn Thomas officiating.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Cliifton Forge, Virginia, is handling the arrangements.
