Cynthia Ryder (Cindy) Crookshanks, 46, of 811 Oneida Trail, Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

Cindy was born May 5, 1969, in Bath County, a daughter of Charles Ryder of Warm Springs and Mary Cauley Ryder of Covington.

She was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her step-mother, Sandra Ryder, of Warm Springs; her maternal grandmother, Frances Cauley and Wayne Kicherer of Covington; three brothers, Charles Ryder, Jr. and his wife, Tammy, and Barry Ryder and his wife, Debbie, all of Hot Springs, and Cody Ryder of Lynchburg; one step-sister, Suzanne Ostling, and her husband, Kris of Covington; one step-brother, Eric Huffman and his wife, Crystal, of Sinking Creek, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Earwood officiating.

The interment will follow in the Warm Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive their friends Friday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
