Former Canadian American Transport Truck Driver Dies At Age 54

Timothy Elliott (Timmy) Howard, age 54, of 505 Roxbury St, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at The Springs Nursing Home in Hot Springs.

Timmy was born in Clifton Forge on January 16, 1962 to Clara Burks Howard and the late Rupert Ezra Howard, Jr.

He was a former Truck Driver for Canadian American Transport (CAT).

He loved hunting and the outdoors.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Duke Howard.

He is survived by his mother, Clara Burks Howard of Clifton Forge; four sisters, Cheryl Brown and husband, Larry of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Susan Englert and husband, Doug of Acworth, GA, Lee McKinlay of Acworth, GA and Laura Godfrey of Duluth, GA; three brothers, Byron "Joe" Howard and wife, Bonnie of Clifton Forge, Chet Howard of Clifton Forge, and John Mark Howard of Atlanta, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Iron Gate Community Church, Iron Gate with Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
