Emory United Methodist Church Member Dies At Age 88

Lucille Williams Robertson, age 88, died May 19, 2016 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany.

She was the wife of the late Louis G. Robertson.

Mrs. Robertson was born July 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Robert Erasmus Williams and Myrene Gaylor Williams.

She enjoyed reading, watching television, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Robertson was a member of Emory United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Robertson is survived by her son, Randy L. Robertson and wife, Kimberly; two grandsons, who were dear to her heart, Garrett L. Robertson and Gavin C. Robertson; three brothers, Haze Williams; Ray Williams and wife, Nancy; and Billy Williams and wife, Anne; a sister, Shirley Puffenbarger; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Miller; and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by one brother, Robert F. Williams; two sisters-in-law, Freda and Hazel Williams; and one brother-in-law, Bobby Puffenbarger.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Slate officiating. Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery by 2:45 p.m.

The family will receive friends at her residence at other times at 216 Williams Road, Hot Springs, VA 24445.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Emory United Methodist Church at 7119 Jackson River Road, Hot Springs, VA 24445 or to the Falling Spring Rescue Squad and Fire Department.
