Mai Ngoc McKnight, 69, of 304 Woodland Road, Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in Lewis Gale – Salem Hospital.

Mrs. McKnight was born January 10, 1947, in Saigon, Vietnam, a daughter of the late Kham Van Tran and Lan Thi Nguyen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randall O. McKnight, Sr., in March of 2015.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Loc McKnight, Jr. of Ashburn, Mark and Anitque McKnight of Remington and Christopher and Kristen McKnight of Fredericksburg; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Hieu Thi Tran of Lowell, MA, Sau Thi Tran and Hanh Thi Tran, both of Saigon, Vietnam; a cousin, Sussie Baxton of Kansas City, KS, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Collins as celebrant.

Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The Rosary service will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home. Following the Rosary, the family will receive friends until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
