Betty Wright Byers, 72, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at her residence.

Born September 20, 1943, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Albert Wright and Virginia Stinnett Wright.

She was a devoted Christian who loved her God, her family and her church, the Calvary Brethren Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wilson Byers.

Surviving are her two sons, Tim Byers, and Ronald Lee Byers and his wife, Kim; grandchildren, Jason Byers, Brooke Goff and husband, Mike, Caitlin Long and husband, Sterlin; great grandchildren, Noah Byers, Kaylee Goff, Deondre Long; and great grandchild to be, Kendric Long.

Special thanks to a very special family, Geraldine Lawrence and family, Mark "Nappy" Smith, Katie, Ryan, Ragen, Dylan and Hayden, and a very special sister-in-law, Gelsie Wright.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Rick Ramsey officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, Va.
