Obituary for Morris Dean (Buddy) Martin Morris Dean (Buddy) Martin
Hercules Retiree Was Trinity Baptist Church Member

Morris Dean (Buddy) Martin, 78, of 215 E. Holly St., Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, May 28, 2016, in Lewis Gale Hospital at Salem.

Mr. Martin was born August 10, 1937 in West Virginia, a son of the late Vernon and Leona Neel Martin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly Entsminger Martin in 2012, and also by one brother, two sisters and a grandson.

He retired in 2004 from Hercules, Inc, after 38 years with the company.

He was a member Trinity Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon and as a member of the choir.

Surviving are five Sons, Morris Dean Martin, Jr and Shelley Cromwell of Buchanan, Gary Martin and his wife, Colleen, of Lapeer, MI, Darren Martin and his wife, Gail, of Martinsville, Greg Martin of Shenandoah, and Johnny Martin and his wife, Tracey, of Lexington Park, MD; four Daughters, Dawn Crizer and her husband, Paul, and Christal Withrow and Coite Beirne, all of Covington; Lisa Martin of Staunton and Sandra Siler and her husband, Lelan, of Elkton; 20 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and one great great grandson; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Wanda Martin of Summersville, WV; one sister, Darlene Wilcher, of Covington and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. in the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Duncan officiating. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
