Janet Marie Campbell Newcomb, age 40, of 1001 McCormick Boulevard, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 15, 1975, in Alleghany County to Gloria Loan Swider and David Warren Campbell.

She was a customer service representative for E-Z Pass.

She was a devoted wife and mother, and loved spending time with friends and family.

She served in the United States Navy.

In addition to her parents David Campbell of Iron Gate and Gloria Swider of Covington, she is survived by her husband, Lawrence Newcomb of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Annamarie Cecilia Newcomb; two sons, Andrew Blake Campbell and Charles Lawrence Newcomb; two step-daughters, Shaea-Lyn Newcomb and Larra Newcomb, all of Clifton Forge; a half sister, Ashley of Covington; granddaughter, Rhealyn Elizabeth Miller of Clifton Forge; and too many close friends and "sisters" to list.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Iron Gate Advent Christian Church, Iron Gate with Reverend Victor Nicely officiating. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Iron Gate Advent Christian Church.
