Obituary for David Francis Agee David Francis Agee
Vietnam Veteran Was Central United Methodist Church Member, Active In Boy Scouts

David Francis Agee, 66, of 4814 Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Montgomery, West Virginia, on April 25, 1950, a son of the late Harold Francis "Gus" Agee and Judith Carol Blosser.

David was employed as an Electrical Technician and Industrial Maintenance employee at Capco of Botetourt County.

He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, member of the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department, Virginia State Fire Fighters Association and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

He was active in Boy Scouts of America and was the Stonewall Jackson Pack Commissioner, Pack 82 Troop 2.

He was active in the school mentoring program at Mountain View Elementary School.

He served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1971 to 1975 aboard the U.S.S. Fox, serving twice in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife Lynn McDaniel Agee of Clifton Forge; a son, Joshua Isaac Agee of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Mitzi Agee Secrest of Rocky Mount, Virginia and Becky Agee of Roanoke; his companion, Brandi; he is also survived by several family member and friends.

He was preceded in death by his step mother, Marylou Truett Agee.

A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. from the Central United Methodist Church in Clifton Forge with Rev. Roger Bush and Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating.

Military rites will be presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4299 of Clifton Forge at the church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department, 3910 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia 24422.
