Marvin Smith, 87, departed this earthly life on June 13, 2016.
He was born in South Boston on November 1, 1928.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his Aunt Mary, who raised him, his beloved wife, Eva Jeanne Smith, and a loving daughter, Mildred Vauda Smith.
Surviving are two sons, William Richard Smith and his wife, Ginger Ellen Smith and Marvin David Smith, Sr.; one daughter, Amy Jean Green and her husband, Timothy Green; twelve grandchildren: Heather, Brandy; Candi; David Smith, Jr., D.J. Dustin, Hannah; John, Jacob, Heather, Jon and Marvin and 18 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
