William Joseph Braford, 56, of Buena Vista, Virginia, born September 4, 1959, in Lexington, departed this life Thursday, June 30, 2016, at University of Virginia Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Nellie Braford; and brother-in-law, Chris McCormick.

Billy was formerly employed as a fixer at Burlington Industries and as a millwright at Georgia Pacific Paper Mill, and for the past several years was a reliable handy man.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce W. Braford; daughters, Tiffany Braford and Brian Ramsey, Gwen Campbell and Jackie; son, Jack Clements II and Cindy Moran; sisters, Brenda Spangler and Bud, and Deborah McCormick; grandchildren, Justin Campbell, Zackary Campbell, Buck Clements, Cassidy Clements, Kelly Clements, and Kaitlyn Clements; as well as many more family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
