Norma Smith Tucker, 52 of 1145 Stuple Lane, Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Lewis Gale-Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

She was born February 29, 1964 in Alleghany County, a daughter of Lillian Tucker Smith of Covington and the late Wandell Smith.

Mrs. Smith was a former employee of the deli department at WalMart. She also had been an employee of the former Halmode, Inc. in New Castle, as well as the Dairy Queen in Covington.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Lacy Tucker, of Covington; two daughters, Mary Ellen Irvine and Michaela Tucker, both of Covington; four grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Valerie Smith, of Covington; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Timmy Wright, of Covington and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curley Ray officiating.

The interment will be made in Lone Star Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Alfred and Valerie Smith at 2704 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426.
