Michael Arnet (Mike) Andrews, 58, of 815 Potts Creek Road, Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday July 12, 2016, at his residence.

He was born September 26, 1957, in Covington, a son of the late Robert A. and Anna Lee Tingler Andrews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother, Ronnie Lee Andrews, in March of this year.

Mike retired in 2013 from MeadWestvaco, as a pipefitter after 35 years of service.

He was a member of Covington Bible Church.

Mike was a Master Gardener and an avid hunter.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Cindy Slayton Andrews of Covington; one daughter, Megan Andrews of Salem and Robert "Robbie" Andrews and his wife, Lyndsay, of Clifton Forge; one sister, Tracy Slater, and her husband, Teddy, of Vinton; his mother-in-law, Marie Slayton, of Covington; several nieces and nephews and his cat, Molly.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Williams officiating.

The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
