Obituary for Alice Miller (Kitten) Tingler Alice Miller (Kitten) Tingler
Former Halmode Machine Operator Dies At Age 69

Alice Miller (Kitten) Tingler, 69, of 6715 Potts Creek Road, Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday July 13, 2016 at her residence.

She was born June 3, 1947 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late Raymond Odie Miller and Roxie May Wolfe Miller.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Tingler in 1992 and also by a brother, Marvin Tingler and a brother-in-law, Marshall Hadden.

Mrs. Tingler was a machine operator with the former Halmode, Inc.

She was an avid Redskins fan.

Surviving are three sons, Richard E. Tingler and Laura Wilson, Ronnie L. Tingler and Raymond L. Tingler, all of Covington; one daughter, Rhonda Martin of Roanoke; grandchildren, Richard F. and Trysta Tingler, Shawn and Shantell Tingler, R.J. Tingler, Austin Evans, Darrian Tucker and Nick Tingler; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret and Jimmy Jeffries of Iron Gate; Janet Isley and Dale Terry of Covington; Juanite Hedden of Winston-Salem, NC and Jackie Tingler of Brunswick, MD; friends, Joyce Kelmer, Melanie Hoover, Larry Jones and Gary Jones, all of Covington, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

The family will receive friends at the residence at 6715 Potts Creek Road, Covington, VA 24426 any time.

A private service will be held at a later date.

The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
