Archie Victor (Butch) Nicely, Jr., age 53, of 1700 Main Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at The Golden Living Center, Clifton Forge.

He was born October 4, 1962 in Clifton Forge to Madeline Furry Nicely and the late Archie V. Nicely, Sr.

He was retired and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virginia Furry, and grandparents, Blanche and Jake Nicely.

He is survived by his mother, Madeline Nicely of Clifton Forge; two sons, Albert Dwayne Nicely and Justin Lee Nicely and wife, Tiffany, both of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Lisa Blankenship and husband, David, and Regina Hughes, both of Clifton Forge; a brother, Rocky Nicely and wife, Debbie of Roanoke; a granddaughter, Isabella LeeAnn Nicely; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Clay and Billee Nicely of Clifton Forge.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Iron Gate Community Church, Iron Gate with Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating.

The family will visit with friends on Friday, before and after the service at Iron Gate Community Church.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
