Homestead Retiree Was Healing Springs Baptist Church Member

Patricia (Pat) Ann Peery Stover, 76, of 108 Carloover Village Drive, Hot Springs, Virginia died Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, in Roanoke, Virginia.

She was born October 23, 1939 in Hot Springs, Virginia, the daughter of the late William "Bill" Edward Peery and Olivia Lanier Pole Thomas Peery.

Mrs. Stover was retired from the Homestead Resort, where she worked as a guest room attendant.

She was a member of the Healing Springs Baptist Church, where she served on the Communion Committee.

She enjoyed reading.

Mrs. Stover was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Smokey Joe Stover of Hot Springs; three children, Cindy Fry and husband, Kevin, Brian Stover and wife, Annette and Billy Stover and wife, Angel, all of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, Sarah Church and husband, Lee of Hot Springs, Will Fry of Lexington, Virginia, Nathan Hepler and wife, Emily of Rome, New York, Rebecca Stover of Hot Springs and Joseph Stover of Hot Springs; two great grandchildren, Erika Church and Hunter Church, both of Hot Springs; two brothers, Clarence Peery and Harold Peery of Hot Springs; a sister, Lettie Mae Cauley and husband, Hubert "Thornton" of Hot Springs; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving dog "Minnie".

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at Healing Springs Baptist Church with Reverend John Klink officiating. Interment will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Craig Harold, Mike Spurgeon, Keith McElwee, Dennis Carter, Paul Peery, Joseph Stover, Hugh Hite and Winfred Smith.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Healing Springs Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to charity of your choice.
