Former WalMart Employee Was Honorary VFW Member

Jerry Diana May Windsor, age 59, of 805 Oneida Trail, Covington, Virginia died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.

She was born July 29, 1957 in Covington to the late John C. May, Jr. and Sylvia Jean Slayton May.

She was former employee of Walmart and an honorary member of the VFW.

She loved NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Cynthia Byer May; a sister, Belinda Gail May; and a nephew, Terry Wayne May.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Keith Windsor of Covington; a son, Shawn Eugene Smith of Covington; three step sons, Roman Windsor of Covington, Timothy Windsor of Covington, and Andrew Windsor of Farmville; four brothers, Roger Lee May of Covington, John C. May III and wife, Paula of Covington, Daniel Eugene May and wife, Linnlette of White Sulphur, and Garland Dale May and companion Melissa Ray of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Jaylen Smith, Aubrey Windsor, and Landon Windsor; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Norman Thompson.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. Norman Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery, Millboro.

Pallbearers will be selected from friends and relatives attending the service.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
