Mabel Frances Denneney Shepard, 92, of The Woodlands Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge, Virginia, formerly of 729 Ingalls Street, Clifton Forge, died Wednesday September 28, 2016 at the Woodlands.

She was born January 6, 1924 In Watertown, New York, the daughter of the late Jack and Mae Denneney.

She was the retired Director of the YMCA/YWCA in Watertown, a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Watertown, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and enjoyed traveling.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roswell Shepard.

She is survived by her son, Gary Shepard and his wife, Mary, of New Bern, North Carolina. In Keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated and her remains will be interred in Union Cemetery in Watertown, New York at a later date.

No services are scheduled at this time.
