Charles Clinton Leech, 88, of Lexington, Virginia died Friday, September 30, 2016, at his residence.

He was born April 29, 1918, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Ernest Tucker Leech and Kate Wade Leech.

Clinton was a member of Collierstown Presbyterian Church and retired as a Manager of the Maury River Oil Company.

He also loved to sing, raise a garden and enjoyed all sports.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley S. Leech; two children, Sandy Howell (Don), Roanoke, and Larry Leech (Holly), Lexington; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Nellie Leech and Thelma Leech, and also numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Harrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Xisto and the Rev. Steve Willis officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Collierstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Clinton's memory to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, Va.
