Former Weyers Cave Elementary School Teacher Dies At Age 92

Virginia Lee Robertson Kline, 92, of Warm Springs, Virginia died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Bath Community Hospital, Hot Springs, Virginia.

She was born December 27, 1923 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Rev. George Russell Robertson and Carrie Catherine Green Robertson.

Virginia was formerly employed as a teacher at Weyers Cave Elementary School.

She was a member of Mill Creek Church and attended Chimney Run Church of the Brethren.

She worked with many civic organizations and her church.

She was a graduate of Bridgewater College and James Madison University and loved to attend their athletic events.

Virginia is survived by her four step-children: Margaret Ikenberry, Betty Simmers, Patricia Grady, and Maurice Henry; four step-grandchildren; brothers; Calvin Robertson and wife, Betty, Ervin Robertson, Ira Robertson, Leroy Robertson, all of Warm Springs, Virginia; sisters; Montague D'Ottavio of Maryland, Mary Ailstock and husband, Charles of Warm Springs, Virginia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Dr. Jerry Maurice Henry and John Miller Kline, a brother, Paul Robertson and a sister, Annie Wolfe. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., October 26, 2016 at Chimney Run Church of the Brethren with Pastor Billy Robertson officiating. Interment will be in Robertson Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Ailstock, Ryan Ailstock, Davey Smith, Cody Smith, Terry Smith, George Robertson, Mark Wolfe, and Danny Robertson.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Chimney Run Church of the Brethren.
