Rose Ellen Rogers Young, 79, of 314 E. Phillip Street, Covington, Virginia died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at The Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge.

She was born February 8, 1937 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Hezry and Elizabeth Keyser Rogers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Radar, a son, Ronald Shue, Jr., a sister, Pauline DePriest, and a brother, Donald Rogers.

Mrs. Young was formerly employed at the Homestead.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Young of Covington; two sons, Troy Shue and his wife, Wendy and Sheldon Shue, both of Covington; three grandchildren, Ryan Shue; Ethan Shue and Alex Shue, all of Covington, and one sister, Francis May and her husband, Berlin of Natural Well.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
