Phyllis Harrison Balser, of Buena Vista, Virginia passed away, Thursday, November 3, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, William Thomas Balser Jr.; her parents, Hazel Pryor and Robert Emmett Harrison; brothers, R. C. Harrison, Hylton R. Harrison Sr. and sister, Dorothy Harrison Wilson.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Balser Mills; son-in-law, Clarence Mills, of Richmond; and her sister, Marie Harrison Floyd of Lexington.

She was the proud grandmother to David Mark Lynn Jr.; and great-grandmother to Sam Montgomery Lynn, Mills Balser Lynn and Johnnie Crews Lynn, all of Richmond; special sister-in-law, Mary Harrison; special niece, Gill Harrison Watts; and many other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Green Hill Mausoleum with Pastor Butch Grow officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad in Phyllis' name.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista.
