Douglas Anthony (Doug) Moore, 48, of Lexington, Virginia died tragically in an automobile accident on Thursday, November 3, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Karen Moore; son, Ryan Morris; parents, Barbara and Tony Bane and James Butch Moore; brother, David Moore; sister, Leslie (Matt) Roberts; nieces, Christy and Lindsey Roberts; uncles and aunts, Mike and Susan Moore, Ricky and Melissa Rogers, and Bonnie Moore; mother and father-in-law, Hilda and Ellis Morris; and brother-in-law, Kevin Morris.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Louise and Toy Rogers, Janet Knick and James Raymond Moore Jr.

Doug was born August 10, 1968.

He was a lifelong resident of Rockbridge County and longtime employee of Holland's General Contractors.

Doug loved his family and friends, his pets, and NASCAR races.

He was also a wonderful artist, woodworker, and carpenter.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. held on Monday, November, 7, 2016 in the Virginia Horse Center's Appomattox Mezzanine Room, 487 Maury River Road, Lexington.
