Obituary for Curtis Lee Furry Curtis Lee Furry
U. S. Army Veteran Worked With C. C. Coffey Construction Company

Curtis Lee Furry, age 72, of 800 West Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at his residence.

Curtis was born August 18, 1944 in Clifton Forge to the late Charles Edward and Virginia Ann Mason Furry.

He served in the United States Army and was a laborer for C. C. Coffey Construction.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and helping on the Kimberlin Farm.

He is survived by three daughters, Tammy R. Huffman of North Carolina, Christie L. Williams and husband, Jerry of Covington, and Dawn R. Carter and husband, Michael of Low Moor; two step sons, Paul W. Barr II and Jody L. Barr, both of Clifton Forge; a sister, Madeline A. Nicely of Clifton Forge; two brothers, Jerry A. Furry and wife, Sally of New York, and Carl E. Furry and wife, Pat of Louisa County; ten grandchildren, Amanda, Leighton, Daniel, Olivia, Brent, Brandon, Dylan, Zachery, Jody, and Shawn; a number of nieces and nephews; many close friends including special friends, Kim Kimberlin and Twyla Boyd, and his caregivers at Mountain Regional Hospice.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be no formal service. However, the family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, November 19, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, and at other times at the residence of Dawn Carter, 2323 Selma-Low Moor Road, Low Moor, Virginia.

The Nicely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
