Alleghany County Native Dies At Age 84

Nellie Isabel Campbell Andrews, 84, of 304 Jonestown Road, Covington, Virginia died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at her residence.

She was born June 20, 1932 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Harv and Nellie Armentrout Campbell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Ernest Ivory Andrews in 1992; siblings, Jane Pierce, Ralph, Teenie, Patsy, Ellen, Joe and Jimmy.

Surviving are her four sons and daughters-in-law, Ernie and Kim Andrews, John and Loretta Andrews, Danny and Debbie Andrews, all of Covington; and Jason and Lucy Andrews of Richmond; grandchildren, Josh and Amber Andrews of Willis, TX; Amber Wisted and husband, Tracy of Willis Texas; Andrew Andrews; Elvie Ray Patterson of Eagle Rock; Chris Andrews and Brandon Andrews, both of Covington; Allen and Katie Kirby of Covington; Haley Andrews, Mackenzie Andrews and Brooke Andrews, all of Richmond; Johnny Ward of Roanoke; Priscilla Williams of Arden, NC; five great grandchildren, Mykayla, Tracyn, Garrison, Kayleigh and Joseph; two brothers, Larry and Linda Campbell and Gary Campbell, all of Covington and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Debbie Wright.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, November 19, 2016 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home and at other times the at the Andrews Family Home, 304 Jonestown Road, Covington, VA.

Memorial donations in Mrs. Andrews' name may be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
