Leonard Boyd (Lenny) Hodges, age 65, of 237 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Covington, Virginia, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at his residence.

He was born September 14, 1951 in Covington, a son of the late James Hodges, Sr. and Melba Tucker Hodges.

Mr. Hodges was a retired school teacher with the Alleghany County Public School System.

His passions were playing golf and traveling on his motorcycle.

Surviving are his brother, James Hodges, Jr. of Earlysville; one nephew, James Hodges III and wife, Christine, of Covington; two great nieces, Cora Hodges and Amelia Hodges and one great nephew, James Hodges IV, all of Covington.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

The memorial service will be held Saturday December 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. J. B. Broughman officiating, assisted by the Rev. Buddy Burks.

The family will receive their friends one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
