Michael Wayne Treynor, 74, of 3609 Midland Trail, Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at his residence.

He was born August 20, 1942 in Alleghany County, a son of the late Emmett and Violet Arrington Treynor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Treynor in 2015.

Mr. Treynor served his country with the National Guard. He retired from Hercules/AET. Inc. as machine operator after 30 plus years of service.

Surviving are his daughter, Mary Fridley and husband, Rene of Covington; two sons, Billy Higgins and wife, Linda of Covington and Ray Higgins and wife, Shelby of Staunton; seven grandchildren, Brandon and Christina Fridley, Travis and Andrea Fridley, Lucius and Valeria Fridley, Will Higgins, Jr., Chase Higgins, Treynor Higgins and Raykelle Higgins; four great grandsons, Garrett Fridley, Connor Fridley, Lane Fridley, Levi Fridley; two great granddaughters, Paylen Fridley and Madelyn Fridley; one brother, Larry Treynor and wife, Ducky of Covington; one sister, Carol Gibson of Covington, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday December 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

Interment will follow in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Arritt Funeral Home on Saturday.
