Retired Insurance Company Secretary Was Henning Church Of God Member

Belva Esther Spears Minter, age 72, of 808 Acacia Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, December 26, 2016 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

She was born May 1, 1944 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, to the late William Benjamin and Ethel Davis Spears.

She was a retired secretary from Gerald Franson Insurance Agency and a member of the Henning Church of God in Frankford, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elva Clark.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis Minter of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Robin Lynn Simmons Flint and husband, Mark of Lexington; two sons, Doug Simmons and wife, Cynthia of Poquoson, and Jonathan Simmons and wife, Kristy of Rose Hill, Kansas; three step children, Chris Minter, Mark Minter, and Kathy Smith; a sister, Vaughnie Zopp and husband, Preston of Rupert, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Brittany Flint Foscoe and husband, Jamie, Bethany Flint, Jonathan Dalton Simmons, and Kaitlynn Simmons; two nieces; and a nephew.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Henning Church of God, Frankford, West Virginia with Pastor Robert Heffner and Pastor Robbie Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

Pallbearers will be Doug Simmons, Jonathan Simmons, Mark Minter, Mark Flint, Jamie Foscoe, Billy Ben Zopp, Jonathan Dalton Simmons, Scott Minter, and Adam Merritt.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, and on Saturday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
