Obituary for Jo Anne Hodge Hopkins Jo Anne Hodge Hopkins
Former "My Sharee" Owner Was West Virginia Native

Jo Anne Hodge Hopkins, age 83, of 31 Fairway Court, Daleville, Virginia formerly of Wintergreen Avenue, Clifton Forge, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at her residence.

She was born August 10, 1933 in Hinton, West Virginia to the late Ernest "Ted" Wilson Hodge and Wanda Hartwell Hodge.

She was a former owner/operator of "My Sharee" in Clifton Forge and worked at Jane Colby and Talbot apparel companies.

Jo Anne was a member of Central United Methodist Church of Clifton Forge and The Wesleyan Bible Class.

She graduated in 1950 from Hinton High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janie Jefferies and her brother, Robert E. "Bobby" Hodge.

She is survived by her husband, whom she married in 1950, Frank Wexler Hopkins; a daughter, Sharon Ann Sheppard and husband, Everett Mark Sheppard; a son, Frank Joey Hopkins and wife, Faye, all of Daleville, Va.; four grandchildren; Brady Craft and wife, Teresa, Renee Jamison, Nicole Grant and husband, Steve and Jon Arlo Hopkins and wife, Renea; three great grandchildren, Andrew Jamieson, Grace Craft and Lilly Craft; two step grandchildren, Michelle Johnson and husband, Reid and Michael Sheppard; four step grandchildren, Ethan Johnson, Savanna Johnson, Kaylee Johnson and Carmen Shappard; two sisters, Shelby Smith of Salem and Jackie Dooley and husband, Ronnie of Roanoke; a brother, Jerry Hodge and wife, Sandra of Forest.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with the Reverend Lynn Wright and Reverend W. Pembroke Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia at 2:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home. The family suggest memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 3959 Electric Road, Suite 357, Roanoke, VA 24018.
