Hinton, West Virginia Native Was Retired Ritschs Clerk, Oak Hill Bible Church Member

Joleta Deeds Dick Bishop, age 87, of Clifton Woods Apartments, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at The Brian Center in Low Moor, Virginia.

She was born April 18, 1929 in Hinton, West Virginia to the late Mnason and Madeline Johnson Deeds.

She was a retired clerk for Ritschs Cleaners.

Joleta was a member of Oak Hill Bible Church and the Sharon Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband; Normandie Dore Dick and her second husband, Charles Bishop; a brother, Roger Deeds and a nephew, Ty Wayne Deeds.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Dick and his wife, Crystal of Covington; two nieces, Rogena Davidson and husband, Randy of Athens, GA and Teresa Spicer of Hinton, WV; a grandson, Preston Wimmer and a dear friend, Vivian Pendleton.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with the Reverend Roger Bush officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at Nicely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1700 MacCorkle Ave. SE, Third Floor, Charleston, WV 25314.
